Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) store excess energy from wind or solar farms and release it back into the electricity grid when needed, such as when demand is high.

They are a crucial part of renewable energy’s success as they deliver consistency to the grid supply.

Where possible, we will ‘add on’ a BESS to the wind or solar farm development on your land which is known as a co-located project, although we do have several standalone BESS sites in development.

In addition to the rental income from wind/solar, we will pay you a certain amount per megawatt installed per year, CPI linked. This will be determined once the planning process is in motion.

Lease term up to 25 years with land returned to its original condition at the end of the term.

We cover all costs and carry out all works from initial feasibility studies to construction, maintenance and decommissioning.

3 – 10 acres required depending on the size of the BESS.

We ensure that all works are carried out as safely as possible and we only use the very highest quality, reliable components. We comply with planning guidance such as building BESS developments at least 200m away from any residential buildings.
