Qair has awarded the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract for the 46.51 MWp Brecks Solar Farm in Nottinghamshire to INTEC Energy Solutions.
Located near Retford, the ground-mounted solar project marks an important milestone for Qair in the UK as the company’s first solar project to progress into construction. Under the contract, INTEC Energy Solutions will deliver the full EPC scope alongside operations and maintenance (O&M) services for the project.
Once operational, Brecks Solar Farm is expected to generate around 46 GWh of renewable electricity annually, supporting the UK’s transition to a low-carbon energy system.
In addition to clean energy generation, the project will also deliver biodiversity enhancements across the site, including the creation of new wildlife habitats designed to support local ecology.
